Max Wexley
Finance professional during the day, but a builder by nature.
New York City, NYI work in finance, but that's only part of it. I'm interested in energy, history, geopolitics, technology, fitness — and what happens when those things start to connect. My day job is at BBVA in New York, working on energy infrastructure deals — and building AI tools and automated workflows for ~95 people across Corporate Coverage, Corporate Lending, Debt Capital Markets, and Controller functions, which got me inducted as an internal 'AI Wizard.'
Outside of that, I run Wex Advisory, an AI consulting practice for small and mid-market businesses, and I build software. Not because I'm trying to become a developer — because I find the tools we have right now genuinely exciting and I want to use them to make things that are actually useful. Wex Advisory runs on a suite of tools I built myself: a free AI audit, a competitive intelligence platform, a cold outreach pipeline, and a LinkedIn content engine — all powered by Claude, Firecrawl, Tavily, and DataForSEO. I've also shipped Chapterly (a reading app, paused) and CourtBook NYC (a basketball court booking platform, paused) while focusing on Wex Advisory.
With ambition and access to the right tools, I can't help but try to build things that generate positive impact. This site is a reflection of that.
